Installation Instructions
Before You Begin
Confirm the Product
Unroll and inspect each panel before cutting. Check the pattern, scale, panel size, and color match across panels, and make sure the printed surface is free of defects. Returns are not accepted on cut material. If you see any issues, please contact support@goodrepeat.com before starting your project.
Room Conditions
- Let the material acclimate in a clean, dry room at 70 to 75°F (21 to 24°C) and 40 to 55% relative humidity before installing.
- Order a sample first to test adhesion and removal on your wall surface.
- Do not crease the printed face before or during installation. Creases may not come out.
Recommended Supplies
- Pencil and measuring tape
- Level and straightedge, such as a metal ruler
- Sharp snap-off utility knife with spare blades
- Scissors
- Felt-edged plastic squeegee or smoothing tool
- Ladder
- Clean work surface or table
- Paste: None needed. The adhesive backing is pre-applied.
Paint and Primer
- Eggshell, satin, or semi-gloss finishes work best.
- Do not install over washable, scrubbable, or no-VOC paints.
- Newly painted or primed walls must dry for at least 30 days before installation.
Surface Preparation
Step 1: Smooth the Wall
- Fill holes, cracks, and nicks, then sand smooth.
- On new walls, drywall joints should be taped, mudded, and sanded smooth.
- Remove old wallcoverings and any residue.
Step 2: Clean the Wall
- Wipe away dust, dirt, grease, and stains. Walls must be free of mold and mildew.
- Make sure the wall is completely dry (moisture content below 4%).
Step 3: Check the Surface
- Avoid porous or textured surfaces such as cement block, orange peel, knockdown, or popcorn texture.
- Lightly sand high-gloss finishes and wipe clean to improve adhesion.
Planning the Installation
- Turn off power to switches and outlets, then remove the cover plates.
- Start in a discreet spot, such as a corner or behind a door, to help hide seams.
- Use a level and straightedge to draw a light vertical guideline for the first panel.
- Measure the wall height and add 4 in. Cut the first panel to this length.
Hanging
- Peel back about 6 in. of the backing liner and crease the liner (not the printed face) flat.
- Line up the panel edge with your guideline, leaving about 2 in. above the wall for trimming.
- Press a few inches to the wall and smooth from the center outward with the squeegee, working in small 4 to 6 in. sections.
- Keeping the panel flat to the wall, keep peeling the liner downward in small sections, smoothing as you go.
- Use gentle, even pressure to avoid stretching. To reposition, slowly peel the panel back and reapply.
- Cut the next panel and overlap the previous one by 0.5 in., matching the pattern from top to bottom.
- Continue across the wall in one direction, either left to right or right to left.
- Trim the excess at the ceiling and baseboard with a sharp utility knife, changing blades often. Press cut edges flat.
- Around windows, doors, and outlets, make diagonal relief cuts, then trim.
Removal
Peel slowly, pulling the panel back along the wall at a 180° angle. Removal after long periods or in dry conditions may require wall touch-ups.

- Seams overlap and are not trimmed, so a small overlap will be visible.
