FAQ's

Answers to most common questions about products, orders, shipments, and payments.
Product & Stock
Why does my printed fabric look different from the website? Plus

Every screen renders color differently, so what you see on your monitor or phone won't be an exact match for printed fabric.

Colors are reproduced as accurately as possible, but slight variations may occur due to screen resolution and monitor settings. There's also natural variation between fabric substrates, and the same design reads a little differently on a matte weave than on a smooth one.

When ordering for the first time, or if continuity between orders is crucial, we always recommend ordering a sample first!

Orders & Payments
How can I pay for my order? Plus

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover, plus Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal.

Shop Pay Installments lets you split larger orders into four payments.Payment is processed securely through Shopify. Good Repeat never sees or stores your card details.

Will I receive order confirmation? Plus

You sure will. A confirmation email arrives right after you check out and confirms we've got your order. This is where you'll find your order number. If this email hasn't arrived within an hour, check your junk or spam folders.

We send a second email when your order ships, along with tracking information.

What if I haven't received part of my order? Plus

Orders with several items are sometimes made and shipped separately: different products are printed on different equipment and finish at different times.

If part of your order arrives without the rest:

  1. Check your shipping email. If it lists fewer items than you ordered, the rest is still on its way with its own tracking.
  2. Check the packing slip in the parcel. It shows what's in that shipment.
  3. If everything on the packing slip is accounted for and nothing else is in transit, email support@goodrepeat.com with your order number, and we'll get it sorted.

We'll always email separate tracking for a split shipment.

Returns & refunds
How can I return my online purchase? Plus

Because everything is made to order, we handle returns a little differently than a shop with shelves.

Your fabric was printed for you and can't go back into stock. That's why we recommend ordering a sample first!

To start a return, email support@goodrepeat.com with your order number and what's wrong. We'll reach out as soon as possible to learn more about the issue.

How do you make refunds? Plus

Approved refunds go back to the original payment method within a few days of us receiving your return. Depending on your bank, it can take a few days to appear on your statement.

Is everything made to order? Plus

Yes! Every Good Repeat piece is printed after you place your order; nothing sits on a shelf waiting.

There's no minimum, nothing ever sells out, and every design in the catalog is available every day.

It also means your order takes a little longer than something pulled from a warehouse. A real person checks every order before it goes out.

Where are Good Repeat products made? Plus

Good Repeat designs are created by Caroline Okun in Chapel Hill, NC. Our fabrics are printed and processed by trusted partners in Colombia and the U.S.

Is Good Repeat environmentally responsible? Plus

Everything at Good Repeat is made just for you. That means that nothing is produced before someone wants it, so there's no unsold inventory and no deadstock, no warehouse full of unsold product.

Our printing methods reduce or avoid the wastewater associated with many traditional textile methods.

Many of our bases our made from responsible materials, including Better Cotton Initiative certified cottons, Masters of FLAX FIBRE™ certified linen blends, and recycled polyesters.

Fabric and Print
How is the fabric printed? Plus

Our printing method depends on the fabric:

Polyester bases (Upholstery Chenille, Plush Minky) are printed using digital dye sublimation, a waterless process that avoids the wastewater associated with many traditional textile methods.

Natural-fiber bases (Quilting Cotton, Linen Cotton Blend, Decor Cotton Sateen) are printed using pigment printing, which consumes less water than traditional dye methods.

What fabrics can I choose from? Plus

Good Repeat fabrics come in 5 base substrates, each suited to different projects. Three are natural fiber (pigment-printed) and two are polyester (dye-sublimation printed):

Quilting Cotton - 100% cotton, 44" wide, 4.3 oz/yd² (145 gsm). A smooth plain weave, crisp to start and softer with every wash. Best for: quilts, patchwork, apparel, and craft.

Decor Cotton Sateen - 100% cotton, 54" wide, 5.6 oz/yd² (190 gsm). A silky sateen with natural drape and subtle luster. Best for: drapery, bedding, cushions, and decor.

Linen Cotton Blend - 55% linen, 45% cotton, 54" wide, 6.3 oz/yd² (215 gsm). A structured natural blend with timeless texture. Best for: pillows, table linens, and decor.

Upholstery Chenille - 100% polyester, 57" wide, 11.8 oz/yd² (400 gsm). A supple, brushed chenille with a structured backing, engineered to last. Best for: upholstery, cushions, and decor.

Plush Minky - 95% polyester / 5% spandex, 63" wide, 6.8 oz/yd² (230 gsm). A buttery-soft pile, plush on both sides, with a gentle stretch. Best for: blankets, throws, and loungewear.

Full specs, including fat quarter sizing, are listed on every product page under 'Fabric details.'

How do I care for my Good Repeat fabric? Plus

General care: Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle. Wash inside out. No bleach. Tumble dry low or lay flat. Iron on low from the reverse side, never directly on the print.

Upholstery and heavier bases: spot clean with a damp cloth and upholstery cleaner; don't wring or press.

A note on prewashing: Polyester bases don't shrink meaningfully, so you can cut straight into them. Natural-fiber bases should be prewashed before you cut — expect about 5% shrinkage.

If you're sewing goods to sell, put these instructions on your own labels.

Do you have certifications for your fabrics? Plus

We're working with our production partners on formal safety and quality certifications for our fabrics, and we'll update this page as soon as those are confirmed.

In the meantime, every fabric we print is selected and quality-checked before it goes into rotation.

Ordering
What is the minimum amount of fabric I can order? Plus

One yard, or one fat quarter. You can order in whole-yard increments: 1, 2, 3, and up.

A fat quarter, or a quarter yard, is the smaller option if you're sampling, building a quilt bundle, or have a smaller project.

There's no bulk minimum and no roll requirement. Order what your project needs.

If I order several yards of the same design, will it arrive as one continuous piece? Plus

Yes. Order [4] yards of one design on one base, and it arrives as a single [4]-yard piece, not four separate cuts.

Ordering the same design on different bases, or different designs, means separate cuts; each fabric is printed separately.

Can I sell what I make with Good Repeat fabric? Plus

Absolutely. Once you buy the fabric, what you make with it is yours to sell!

Sew it into pillows, bags, clothing, or upholstery and sell them under your own name. No license needed, no royalty, no permission to ask for.

Specific no-nos: you can't resell the fabric itself as yardage, and you can't reproduce the designs as your own. Otherwise, go wild!

Do you offer trade, wholesale, or bulk pricing? Plus

You bet. We work with interior designers, decorators, and makers buying at volume.

Reach out to us at Support@goodrepeat.com and share what you're working on!

Production & Shipping
Do you ship outside the US? Plus

No, we currently don't ship outside of the US.

What is the return policy? Plus

We want you to love what shows up at your door. Every piece is printed for you after you order it, so there's no shelf for anything to go back onto. That makes getting it right the first time our priority.

If something isn't right, please reach out within 30 days.

Email support@goodrepeat.com with your order number and a photo, and we'll get in touch to make it right.

When will I get my refund? Plus

Approved refunds are processed within 3-5 business days of us receiving your return or approving your claim, back to the original payment method. Your bank may take another few days to post it.

My order arrived damaged or defective. What do I do? Plus

Email support@goodrepeat.com within 24 hours of delivery with your order number and photos of the problem. We'll respond as soon as possible!
